A Kruger Brothers' Christmas in North Wilkesboro

Brought to you by the Blue Ridge Music Hall of Fame, The Kruger Brothers are coming to North Wilkesboro on December 13th and the show starts at 7:30pm at the Heritage Museum.  Originally from Switzerland, The Kruger Brothers actually moved to Wilkes County and are world renowned for their blend of traditional folk and modern American folk sounds.

The group consists of four members.  You have Jens Kruger on banjo and vocals.  You then have his brother Uwe Kruger on guitar, and Joel Landsberg on bass and harmony vocals.  The Kruger Brothers have been a long time staple in the area playing concerts in Elkin as well as being one of the main attractions at the annual Merlefest here in Wilkes County.  They've played on stage with Doc Watson and were featured with Steve Martin on the Late Show with David Letterman.

Update:  Tickets were on sale but are currently showing sold out as of 12/4/2014.  Which kinda buts a damper on the article I was currently writing.  However, if you've never heard of the group and would like to be introduced to a very unique and soulful folk sound, you might want give these guys a listen.  We're very lucky to live in Wilkes County where one weekend a year we have the greatest Bluegrass in the world on our doorstep and it just so happens that the K-Brothers are top shelf amongst that group.  If you have a chance to find tickets, I highly recommend attending this rich, rewarding and soulful night of music.
